The minister of the church is to equip the saints for the work of service, i.e. to build up the body of Christ until all attain to unity of faith and knowledge of Jesus Christ (Eph. 4:11-13), as well as to shepherd the flock of God (1 Pet. 5:1-3). This occurs primarily through leading the church to observe four devotions: to the Word of God, to fellowship, to worship, and to prayer (Acts 2:42). The results of such devotion are: a true worship and service to the Living God and His Son Jesus Christ, a wondrous change in lives, loving unity within the church, service within and beyond the church, and witness that leads to a harvest from the surrounding community and throughout the world (Acts 2:43-47; 1:8).
My wife, Sylvia, and I would enjoy the opportunity to serve the churches of Bulgaria. We are willing to pour our lives into the lives of its pastors, their wives and families, and their churches, helping to establish each in Christ by encouraging discipleship in these four devotions of the church, and equipping all to reach out with the Gospel of Jesus Christ in loving service to Bulgaria and beyond. This is our desire and pledge.
